Dr. Erika Hamer, DC, DIBCN, DIBE, Founder and Practice Owner
Dr. Erika Hamer graduated from Chiropractic School at Life University in Marietta, GA, holds the special post-graduate designation of Diplomate in Chiropractic Neurology and is also fully licensed in Neuro-Electrodiagnostics. In 2004, Dr. Hamer opened Ponte Vedra Wellness Center and since that time, she has continued to seek ways to better serve her patients medical and wellness needs. She is certified in Webster Technique for pregnancy, is currently a member of ICPA and pursuing her board certification in Chiropractic Pediatrics. In addition, she has received AFAA certification as a Fitness Trainer. Recognizing the strong relationship between wellness and fitness, Dr. Hamer opened the Ponte Vedra Wellness Training center in 2012, offering medically-supervised fitness training.
Dr. Hamer remains active in the local community through service and by conducting health talks and postural screenings at local businesses and senior centers. She has taught Anatomy and Physiology at the North Florida Institute of Massage Therapy. Dr. Hamer has been an active board member of the local Chamber of Commerce since 2009 and is also the past president of the Northeast Florida Chiropractic Society. Additional awards and recognitions include: Paul Harris Fellow, Rotary International; Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, Women in Business Awards, 2009; the 2008 Beaches Small Business Leader of the Year by the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce, Beaches Division; the 2010 Chiropractic Practice of the Year by Breakthrough Coaching and and Member of the Year for Outstanding Service from the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce in 2015. Away from the practice, Dr. Hamer's interests include swimming, paddle boarding and spending time with family and friends. She is married to Jeff White, a firefighter and they have a son, Ashton and a daughter, Madisyn.
Dr.Casey Means, DC
Dr. Casey Means has practiced in North Fort Myers and in Cape Coral and brings extensive experience to Ponte Vedra Wellness Center having previously worked in a family oriented practice serving patients of all ages and conditions. Dr. Means comes from a family of chiropractors and learned the benefits of chiropractic care at an early age. He has always been involved with a variety of sports and has received his share of injuries over the years. As he states. “I have experienced the healing benefits of chiropractic care first hand and I look forward to helping the patients at Ponte Vedra Wellness Center recover effectively from accidents or injuries as well as keeping them healthy so they can continue to enjoy an active lifestyle.“
Dr. Means is a Florida native and attended Palmer College of Chiropractic at its Port Orange, Florida campus. During his time there, Dr. Means was heavily involved in Palmer’s Philosophy Club and received the Virgil V. Strang Philosophy award for distinctive accomplishments and contributions to the philosophical principles of chiropractic.Following his doctoral studies and passage of Florida’s Chiropractic board licensing exam, Dr. Means practiced in North Fort Myers in a multi-provider practice. In 2011, he opened New Life Chiropractic in Cape Coral—a family oriented practice serving patients of all ages and conditions. Dr. Means takes a hands-on approach and utilizes manual adjustments as well as other techniques, to achieve results. Dr. Means values community involvement and has volunteered in different capacities over the years, including youth sports, science fair judging, and church activities. He and his wife, Raelyn have been married since 2005 and have two daughters. Outside of work, Dr. Means enjoys surfing, weight lifting and hiking with his family.
